Some causes of the Greek War of Independence are Freedom as the ottoman empire oppressed Greeks, Nationalism which caused the Greeks to have very much pride in their country, no balance of power with Russia taking over. The Greeks were also mostly Orthodox Christians and were forced to convert to Islam which ,ade them very mad.
The Greek War of Independence effected many things. One obviously being they were now independent and have had complete control over their own country. Additionally, this war also greatly effected their culture including their art where most Greek art is depicting aspects of the war. Having complete control over their country has been something they've dreamed of for more than hundreds of years.

Some impact of the Greek War of Independence are that Greece became their own country which they had been wanting for a very long time. Also they had gotten a worn down military. They already had a weak task force before but now it has gotten worse. The war also split up the Ottoman Empire which Greece was a part of at the time, even more. The war made Greek nationalism even stronger in the country. Finally, Prince Otto of Bavaria became the King and and first independent ruler of Greece.
